Construction Quote Template
A construction quote tells the client what the work will cost and what it covers. Fill it in below and download the PDF.
What a construction quote needs
- The site address and a short description of the job
- Labor, materials and subcontractors, priced separately
- What is not included, such as permits or removal of waste
- A start date, a completion estimate and how long the price is valid
- Payment stages, such as a deposit and instalments
Price it so it holds
Say what could change the price, such as hidden damage, and how a change will be agreed in writing. Break large jobs into stages. Many contractors send a quote first and an estimate when the scope is not yet clear.
Questions
- Should I include materials in the quote?
- Yes, as separate lines, so the client can see labor and materials apart and you can show what a change would cost.
- Is a construction quote binding?
- It depends on the wording and the place. Write clearly what it covers and for how long the price holds.
