Draft for the owner to review before launch. It describes what the site does today.
Your invoices
An invoice is made in your browser. The details you type, your logo and the PDF are not sent to our servers, unless you are signed in and choose to keep a copy (see Accounts below). The draft is saved in your browser's own storage on this device so it is still there when you come back. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Kept in that same storage on this device, and nowhere else: your drafts; your own details (name and address, logo, signature, terms, how to pay, colour, font and layout) so the next invoice does not start from nothing, with a Forget my details button that removes them; the number the next invoice will take; and your Light, Dark or Auto colour choice. Nothing about a client or an amount is kept with your details.
Who runs this site
DPR Software Labs (OPC) Private Limited, Bangalore, India. How to reach us is on the contact page.
Accounts
You never need an account to make or download an invoice. An account is for Pro, which takes the small “Made free” line off your PDFs, and for keeping copies of your documents. There is no password: you ask for a sign-in link and we email it to you.
If you sign in we keep your email address; a sign-in cookie called tig_session (strictly necessary, not used to track you), of which the server keeps only a scrambled copy; and, if you buy Pro, your plan, its status and renewal date, and the customer and subscription numbers Dodo Payments gives us. If you reach for a Pro choice before you have signed up, this browser remembers which one for an hour (a note in the same on-device storage as your drafts), so it can be applied once you subscribe.Your invoices are not kept unless you choose. When you are signed in, the Download button has a box, “Keep a copy in my account”, ticked to begin with. Leave it ticked and we store a copy of that document (everything on it, including the client’s name, the amounts, your logo and your signature) in private storage with Cloudflare R2, linked to your account, where only you can open it from Your documents. Untick it and nothing is stored. Deleting a document from Your documents removes the stored copy.
Companies that handle your data for us. Dodo Payments is the seller of Pro: it takes your payment, so your card details never reach us, and it tells us your plan, name, email address and country. Resend sends the sign-in email, so it sees your email address and the link. Cloudflare stores the copies you choose to keep, in a private bucket. To close your account and delete what we hold, write to us from the contact page.
Fonts and files
Making a PDF loads a font file from this site (about 300 KB for the default font, much less for Serif and Mono) so the text prints well in every PDF viewer. Nothing about your invoice is sent when it does.
Measurement
We count visits to learn which pages help. There are no advertising scripts and nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
PostHog counts page views and a few named choices (for example, that a PDF was made or the Pro offer was opened). It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser, records no sessions, and does not keep your IP address.
Google Analytics runs only if you accept the question at the top of the page. It sets cookies, and advertising features are off. Choose Decline, or use Analytics choices in the footer, and it stops and its cookies are removed.
Only the page name is sent, never the part of an address after a ? or #, so an invoice link, a sign-in link or a payment return is never included. Nothing you type into an invoice is sent. Neither tool runs on the account, sign-in or sign-in-link pages.
