What an HVAC quote covers
- The system or repair, with the make and model of any equipment
- Equipment, installation labor and materials, priced separately
- Removal of the old unit, if any
- Any warranty on parts and on the work
- How long the price holds and the payment stages
Say what is not included
Ductwork changes, electrical work and permits are common extras. Name them so the base price is easy to compare.

- Should I quote equipment and labor apart?
- Yes. It shows what the customer is buying and makes a change easy to price.
- How long should an HVAC quote hold?
- Long enough to decide, short enough that equipment prices cannot move against you. Write the date on it.
