Cleaning Invoice Template
Cleaning is usually priced per visit, per hour or per room, and often repeats weekly or monthly. The invoice should name the visits it covers and any extras so there are no surprises on the total.
Example line items for cleaning
These are examples of how to word lines, not prices. Use your own rates.
Standard clean, per visit
Say how many visits the invoice covers and their dates.
Deep clean
Show it as a separate line from regular visits.
Oven, fridge or window cleaning
List extras individually.
Supplies and equipment
Include only if you bill for them.
Late cancellation fee
Show it with the date of the cancelled visit if your terms include one.
What to put on a cleaning invoice
- The address and the dates cleaned
- What the visit included
- Any extras and their price
- Your cancellation terms if they affect the amount
- How and when payment is due
For the basics every invoice needs, see what to put on an invoice.
Payment terms
Recurring customers are commonly billed monthly in arrears or per visit. Choose one and state it on every invoice so the customer always knows when payment is due.
Type Net 30 (or Net 7, Net 15) in the Payment terms box and the due date fills in. Payment terms explained.
Questions
- Should I invoice per visit or monthly?
- Either works. Monthly means fewer invoices for you; per visit is easier for customers who pay as they go. Be consistent and print the terms.
- How do I show a discount for a regular customer?
- Use the Discount line so the full price and the reduction are both visible. Customers like seeing the saving.
